Welcome Desert fans.
This site is a photo album of our various trips to the Anza
Borrego Desert located in the San Diego and Imperial counties.
We have been frequenting this area for 10 years or so and try to make 4
to 5 trips out a year. Our preferred method of travel is one of our
Toyota Landcruisers
due to their unmatched durability and coolness.
We are also working on a
flower photo upload feature which will allow you to upload any Desert flower
pictures you have taken for others to see
When you do make the trek please remember to tread lightly and try not to leave
any traces that you have been there.

Important.
Just read that SDG&E is proposing a 150 mile 1.3 billion
electric transmission line of which a portion will run directly through Anza Borrego
State Park.
Apparentley the 155 tall towers will carry 500 kilovolt lines through
state parks and public lands. Please plan on attending the only Public Hearing on
February 8 at 7:00 PM at the Borrego Springs
resort
.
For more information on this terrible precedent you can visit

Grilling a 9 pound turkey in the
Desert is actually easy then you think! The added benefit is that cleanup is a
breeze especially if you have two dishwashing dogs like Tia and Sadie.

Latest Pictures (04/09 - 04/10)
We spent the weekend out in the
South Carrizo creek area with Linda and Jake.
Everyone had a great time climbing boulders, 4-wheeling, hiking and exploring
the canyons and washes.
We even found a creek with a lot of water in it that we drove up until it got
too narrow.
