Land Cruising
Yes right now we are the proud owners of three Toyota LandCruisers.
They are an illustration of the progression of the LandCruiser throughout the years.

Our 1977 FJ40 "MuMu" is a carbuerated 4.2 Liter inline 6 that has a 4 speed, manual steering and a manual choke lever. Pretty much bare-bones functionality that could climb a wall if she had to.

The 1982 FJ60 "Clifford" is basically the same engine but loaded with numerous vacum hoses attached to the carb. This was an attempt to meet the stricter pollution laws of the time. It has power steering , A/C and reclining front bucket seats.

Our luxurious (for 1992) and now sold FJ80 is called "Tubbs" for various reasons.
First and foremost is that at 4595 lbs. it is an extremely heavy car.
Second it is about as slow as a turtle. Still "Tubbs"is a very capable LandCruiser with solid axles front and rear and a decent amount of low end torque.
